Peter T. YoungChairman
Mr. Young is a founder of Apex and has been with the Company since its inception in 1988. He has instilled a service‐oriented, cost‐conscious philosophy that provides Apex’s clients with the highest quality services in the most cost‐effective manner. This philosophy is the foundation for the Company’s success. As Chairman, Mr. Young is responsible for the strategic direction of the Firm. Previously, Mr. Young was Vice President and CFO of Biospherics, Inc., a Maryland‐based diversified public company. Mr. Young earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Virginia in 1979 and an MBA from Loyola College in 1986. Peter and his wife Debbie have been married over 25 years, and together, have raised four boys (now men). In his free time, Peter enjoys the competition and camaraderie of golf with friends and family and has been fortunate to have played many of the great courses in Scotland and Ireland.

Vincent N. DiRenzo, JrPresident
Mr. DiRenzo joined Apex in 1990 after several years working as an Environmental Supervisor and Engineering Geologist. He is a certified Professional Geologist in Virginia and has more than 25 years professional experience. Since starting at Apex, Mr. DiRenzo has advanced from a Project Manager to the Company President. Mr. DiRenzo is involved with overall management of Apex and its strategic growth. Mr. DiRenzo received a B.S. in Geology from Old Dominion University in 1982 and an M.S. in Geology from East Carolina University in 1986. When not helping to run Apex, Vince is on his farm in Virginia where he raises a herd of grass fed Black Angus.

Robert S. BrackettSenior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Brackett is a Certified Professional Geologist, Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional and Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional, and has more than 25 years of professional experience. Since joining Apex in 1999 as manager of the Company’s Connecticut office, Mr. Brackett has advanced to his current role as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Mr. Brackett manages company-wide operations involving more than 425 personnel. Mr. Brackett oversees all Apex divisions and ensures proper integration among the various business units and management levels. He is a past President and member of the Board of Directors of the Environmental Professionals’ Organization of Connecticut and is the former co-chair of the Western Massachusetts committee of the Licensed Site Professional Association. Mr. Brackett earned a B.A. in Geology from Hartwick College in 1983 and an M.S. in Geology from Duke University in 1985. When not helping build Apex, Bob seems to always be involved in some type of construction or remodeling project putting his skills as an amateur carpenter, electrician, mason and plumber to use!

Shannon K. WinstonSecretary and Controller
Ms. Winston has more than 29 years of accounting, automation and management experience. Prior to joining Apex in 1992, Ms. Winston worked for a variety of large multi-national companies in audit, automation and financial management capacities. She has directed the evaluation, selection and installation of business applications for large clients in various industries. Ms. Winston manages the Accounting and Management Information Systems departments for Apex Companies, and serves as Corporate Secretary. Ms. Winston earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Lindenwood University in 1981. When not working, Ms. Winston is active in her community volunteering with several organizations, and enjoys living the urban life, visiting Ocean City and South Miami beaches, listening to music, reading, and studying the natural sciences.

Roger G. NordlingerSenior Vice President
National Programs and Business DevelopmentMr. Nordlinger joined Apex in 2000 as the Director of Business Development and currently leads Apex's national account programs and business development personnel. Combining his 25 years of experience in the environmental services and engineering fields with his affinity for relationship management, Mr. Nordlinger directs the advancement of Apex’s business expansion and corporate strategy. With a background in industrial and energy related clients, Mr. Nordlinger also specializes in water related solutions. Previously, Mr. Nordlinger spent more than 10 years at Fluor Daniel GTI, subsequently the IT Group, where his responsibilities began as Division Manager and transitioned into account development for national and international clientele. After earning his B.S. degree in Geology from West Virginia University in 1985, Mr. Nordlinger continued to follow his passion for sports and everything outdoors. When not working, whether mountaineering, on (or in) the water, or playing tennis, you can find Roger outside.

Lynn AminzadehVice President of Human Resources
Ms. Aminzadeh has more than 30 years of HR leadership experience identifying, developing and growing talent, primarily within global consulting firms. Since joining Apex in 2007, Ms. Aminzadeh has significantly upgraded the firm’s strategic HR and talent management programs and provides guidance and oversight to Apex’s talented HR and Health & Safety teams. Prior to joining Apex, Ms. Aminzadeh served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Thomas & Herbert Consulting, LLC. She’s held senior HR leadership positions at Computer Sciences Corporation, TMNG and several technology consulting firms. She's also served on the Board of Directors for Montgomery County, MD's Mental Health Association and other DC-based non-profit organizations. Ms. Aminzadeh earned a graduate degree in spirituality in 1998 and an M.A. in counselling in 2012 both from WTU. In her spare time, Ms. Aminzadeh enjoys gardening, photography, and leading contemplative workshops and retreats.
